The Coaches

Cliff Schultz
Owner and Head Coach
Cliff has been coaching since 2013, when he and Erin bought the gym and made CrossFit 867 a part of their family’s life. As a Level 2 coach, Cliff brings over a decade of hands-on experience and genuine passion to every class. He’s competed in several CrossFit competitions — both individual and team — but what really drives him is the community.
He’s worked with every type of athlete — from day-one beginners to long-time members chasing big goals — and has a knack for making everyone feel confident and capable. With five kids who’ve grown up in and around these walls, CrossFit 867 has always been more than just a gym — it’s home.
Erin Schultz
Owner and Coach
Erin has been part of CrossFit 867 since day one, owning and running the gym alongside Cliff while raising their five kids and working full-time as a teacher. She’s a certified CrossFit Level 1 coach and also holds her CrossFit Kids certification, making her a natural with athletes of all ages.

You’ll often find her helping with classes, chatting with members, or keeping things moving behind the scenes — especially over email and social media. Erin has helped shape the welcoming, community-focused vibe that makes 867 so special. She’s not just one of the owners — she’s the friendly face that makes everyone feel at home here.

Melissa Laluk
Coach (Morning Crew)
Melissa is usually the one bringing the energy to our Wednesday morning classes. She’s been part of the CrossFit 867 community for years and knows the gym like the back of her hand. As a certified Level 1 coach, she’s supportive, encouraging, and always ready to hype you up through a tough workout. Whether you’re new or experienced, Melissa brings the kind of energy that makes early mornings feel a little more fun
Annina Altherr
Coach (Morning Crew)
Annina has been with CrossFit 867 for what feels like forever — first as a member, then as a coach. She’s a certified Level 1 coach and typically leads one class a week, sharing her steady energy and love for fitness with the community. She recently welcomed a new baby boy, so she’s taking a break from coaching right now, but she’s still very much part of the 867 family and will be back when the time is right!
