At Avalanche Athletics, we’re more than just a gym — we’re a community. Based in Whitehorse, we’re here to help people of all ages, backgrounds, and fitness levels move better, feel stronger, and live healthier. Whether you're an experienced CrossFitter or just starting your fitness journey, our coaching team is here to support you every step of the way. We believe in smart, functional training, building real connections, and creating a space where everyone feels welcome. From challenging workouts to genuine encouragement, Avalanche is where hard work and good vibes meet.
What We Do

We offer coach-led group classes that focus on strength, conditioning, and functional movement. Every workout is scalable to your level, and our coaches are here to make sure you’re moving safely, pushing yourself, and getting the most out of every session.
Here’s what we offer:

CrossFit – full-body workouts including strength and Olympic lifts ( Fundamentals or prior experience required)

CrossFit Lite – A barbell-free, conditioning-based class that’s beginner-friendly but still tough. Perfect for anyone wanting a high-energy workout that can be scaled or pushed based on your fitness level. (No Fundamentals required)

Lifting – for members who want to focus on technique and strength

Open Gym – Time to train your way — follow the CrossFit, Lifting, or Lite workout, or do your own thing. Great for extra work, skill practice, or making up a class.

Fundamentals – a 4-session intro program required before starting CrossFit classes
